Report an Outage
Although we aim to supply a continuous supply of power to your home; we realize that power outages do happen and that you need to know what steps to take before calling to report an outage. First and foremost, it is imperative that we have the phone number that you are calling to report an outage from in our member database. If we do not have your current phone number, you will not be recognized when calling to report an outage after regular office hours through our automated outage reporting system. You will be asked to leave a message that includes your name, telephone number, address and account number if your phone number is not recognized by our automated outage reporting system.
To report and outage during regular office hours (M-F, 8am-5pm), call (252)823-2171. If you are calling to report a power outage after regular office hours, please call 1-800-690-0657. If you would like to report your power outage through email, please send correspondence with a subject line of POWER OUTAGE to memberservices@ememc.com
