Have a classroom project you’ve been dreaming about? Edgecombe-Martin County EMC is excited to kick off the Bright Ideas Education Grant program for the 2026–27 school year, with applications opening April 1.

Bright Ideas grants are designed to support creative, hands-on learning that sparks curiosity and enhances student engagement. From science experiments to innovative lesson tools, these grants help turn great ideas into meaningful learning experiences.

K–12 teachers in all subject areas are encouraged to apply — whether you’re working solo or collaborating with a team. Applications are accepted online from April 1 through September 15, and there’s a bonus for early planners! Educators who apply by August 15 will be entered into a drawing for one of five $100 Visa gift cards.
