Economic Development

Edgecombe-Martin County EMC works with existing business and industry to foster operations and expansion of their facilities, and we also work closely with many of North Carolina’s economic development teams in order to attract new business and industry to our area.

Our economic development team assists by identifying and placing infrastructure, certifying new industrial sites, providing assistance with shell building programs, grant and loan writing through R.U.S. (Rural Utilities Services), and funding through the North Carolina Electric Membership Corporation’s economic development zero-interest revolving loan fund.
